Out under a base a small clanging sound can be heard, as if something is scratching below the outer hull. Conrad sensing the noise rotates a small optical camera under the outpost seeing a dark figure bent and attaching what looks like explosives to the outer support struts. Reacting quickly Conrad sets an alert throughout the base.

Conrad has gotten visual evidence of an unknown life form. We know that martian life is not possible without some kind of genetic modification so we are unsure what we are seeing. We need science department to locate this unknown life form and gather samples. Be careful we have very limited information at this time.

Using topographical mapping we have ascertained that the creatures are on the move throughout west, south and central mars sectors. Contact has not yet been achieved however we need crewman to begin gathering samples of the creatures. We are not sure how long they will remain or when they will appear through the sectors and Conrad's security grid is not wide enough to cover all activity. Be careful when out collecting samples, we also have reason to believe that the D'naa are out in force.

the explosion was sudden and rocked the lower base with an incredible tremor. The oupost alarms sounded as the crew quicky suited up to deal with the fires and residual damage from the unexpected attack. Out side gunshots could be heard throughout the perimeter and conrad qucikly vented the flames and began sealing access off to compromised areas.
